ITV Studios Daytime creates over seven and a half hours of live TV every day. The ITV Studios Daytime slate is filled with Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women. The Daytime market is highly competitive and vitally important for both ITV Studios and our network. Most of these programmes run 52 weeks a year and are critical to our share of viewing. Daytime hands the ratings baton over to peak.
It’s an exciting time to be part of our team with all of our big brand programmes having been refreshed with a modern on screen look as well as high editorial aspiration. We bring our viewers the latest breaking news, biggest entertainment stories and exclusives and we have a lot of fun along the way.
An opportunity has now arisen to join Loose Women and our ITV Daytime shows as our make-up artist and senior hairstylist to create the look that your client needs. As one of our make-up artists and hairstylists you will apply make-up and style hair for anyone appearing in front of our cameras.
You will be working early morning hours for our shows and applying make-up for presenters, performers and members of the public appearing on screen. Your duties will include a basic set-up and maintenance of the make-up/hair workstations, keeping the workstations clean and tidy, laying out brushes and products for the day ahead, and ensuring that product levels are maintained. You will need to be available upon request to be on set to redo and touch up make-up when required. Working very closely with the production, you will ensure that you are working to production notes and instructions.
Our successful candidate will be a fully qualified make-up artist and hairstylist with experience of working within a live television environment. You will be highly organised, have excellent presentation and communication skills, work effectively as part of a team whilst remaining calm and efficient under pressure to meet tight deadlines. You must be up to date with new make up methods and trends, have an interest in the media environment and have experience working on a live show. In addition, punctuality and reliability is key.
Closing Date for applications: Tuesday 28th January 2020
ITV is committed to increasing the diversity of its workforce and we strongly encourage applications from candidates from all backgrounds and as a Disability Confident employer we have committed to interview all candidates with a disability whose application meets the minimum criteria for the role.
