Lead Make Up Artist & Colour Maestro

Code8 is looking for a talented Makeup Artist to join our incredible team in our Burlington Arcade flagship store.

They will represent Code8’s effortless, high-performance make-up-for-all ethos through expert advice and professional artistry.

This role will also require working as a Colour Maestro at our Colour ID Lab, where you will host appointments with customers to create their own bespoke lipstick shades. You will advise them based on their complexion and personal style, mix and create from scratch using raw pigments, and produce the finished product on an actual lipstick lab machine, all on our premises at the flagship store. This is a truly exciting addition to the Lead Artist role and an enriching experience for makeup artists who are passionate about colour.

The main roles and responsibilities are below:

– Representing Code8 to all customers who visit our flagship or our off-site events: such as pop-ups in corporate events, PR events, or at retailer customer events.

– Advise each customer about bespoke recommended products, using your extensive knowledge of makeup artistry, customers’ needs, and brand ethos

– Demonstrate expertise when showcasing the products.

– Cross-sell and up-sell at every possible opportunity to convert customers into the Code8 way of wearing makeup.

– Hosts a multitude of in-store appointments, including Express/Full Makeovers and Bridal Trials

– Host Colour ID Lab appointments, mix bespoke shades described by the customer, and create the lipstick in the store

– Deliver an exceptional level of customer service to all

– Build relationships with key customers, being their point of contact for any artistry/product advice

– Work with the instore team to create and host an all-year-round eventing calendar

– Be flexible to work at the flagship store and other locations around London and the UK when needed.

The recruitment process will involve both an interview and an artistry test.
