Experienced Beauty Therapist – award winning salon

We are looking for a fun, dedicated and professional beauty therapist to join our team of therapists at our award winning beauty salon based in Hassocks, West Sussex. Hassocks is 10 minutes on the train north of Brighton and Hove and very easily travelled to on the A23.

We are a Clarins ‘Gold’ Awards salon and Guinot Crown salon.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

NVQ level 3 in beauty therapy or equivalent
Be Smartly presented, with a desire to always be helpful to clients and the team
Able to communicate clearly, calmly, politely and effectively in person and on the phone with clients.
Able to multi-task and work under pressure with many competing demands
Computer literate (knowledge of Phorest is an advantage)
Be self managing and pro-active
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Good time management skills
A minimum of 1 years full time salon experience required.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Carry professional beauty treatments of all types, recommend a treatment plan and home care package.
Work closely with colleagues as a team to achieve retail sales targets
Actively join in with salon promotions of all types, including events and special offers.
Managing client information and processing transactions
Taking phone calls and booking appointments
Rebooking of client to ensure client satisfaction for next appointment time
Being able to effectively recommend beauty products based on clients requirements
Will have a full knowledge of all the services and prices offered
Maintain salon in a clean and tidy order (which is a continual team effort)
Bringing refreshments to clients

A training and development plan is agreed during the first 3 months of employment and reviewed as part of the appraisal process. The successful candidate will be required to attend training courses with Clarins, Guinot, CACI, OPI and Hydrotherm
