When you graduate, you’ll receive an ABT accredited certificate in the following Hair treatments, Cutting men’s hair and Colouring (temporary/semi-permanent). This is a great starting point for a career in barbering.
You will be able and qualified to offer basic haircut treatments as soon as you complete the course. You might choose to develop your skills by com-pleting other barbering/hairdressing courses.

You can complete the course by attending online sessions for 10-12 times in 4 weeks. This is your fast track way to try yourself in a new career. You NEED to have passion for gel extensions and commit to practising the techniques in your spare time to fully benefit from quick pace.
You will be tutored by a hair professional who will guide you through interactive, live online sessions with practise on dolly heads or real clients.
During the sessions you have the tutor’s full attention by working in a small group.
*Aged 19 or over
*Access to laptop/tablet/smartphone and internet
*Purchase your own Barbering Kit
2 x Tint bowls (plastic takeaway containers or similar can be used)
2x Tint brushes
Tailcomb or Pin tail comb
Foil (can use home kitchen foil)
Gloves
Apron (or something for clothing protection)
Towels (suitable for colour removal) 1 or 2
Section clips (at least 6 if possible)
Shampoo and conditioner
Coloured hairspray
1 or 2 Semi colour – Brands: e.g. Crazy colour or Directions (any other from the direct from the bottle semi colour will do)
25g hair bleach
Small bottle of 30vol peroxide at least 60g
Small bottle of 1.9 hydrogen peroxide at least 60g
Quasi hair colour ( colour of choice)
The total cost of the course is £600 but you may be eligible for free funding if.

Once you’re qualified in our Cutting Course you can become self-employed. If you train in more barbering techniques it will open up more opportunities, like working in hotels and spas. Maybe you’d prefer to work close to home, or perhaps you’d like to work in a hotel abroad or in a salon on a cruise ship!
Barbering is an exciting area to professionalise in because there are so many specialist areas. You could even choose to go into hair salon management or teaching.
