What makes me, me?

I am an enthusiastic and focused individual, which certainly reflects very well on my job role as a hairdressing teacher, assessor, programme coordinator and IQA. I am always committed to safeguarding and promoting the education and well-being of my students. I am passionate about my job by providing learners with best possible education and hairdressing skills in life. I can establish a supportive, positive relationship not only with the students but also fellow teachers and all staff members. My aim is to promote and reinforce student’s independence and self-esteem. I like to be challenged and I am always engaged in continuous learning in order to broaden my knowledge and experience.

Tell me about your role at CPBA. What does a typical day look like for you?

In my role at CPBA/Trade Academy, I wear multiple hats as a teacher, assessor, internal quality assurance (IQA), and program coordinator. Each day is a dynamic blend of responsibilities and challenges, but it's an incredibly fulfilling and enjoyable role for me. My daily tasks include delivering lessons in both classroom and online environments, meticulously preparing lesson plans and assessments, tailoring my teaching methods to cater to the diverse needs of learners, offering constructive feedback to nurture students' progress, fostering an inclusive and encouraging learning atmosphere, staying current with subject matter and educational best practices, meticulously planning lessons and activities, conducting engaging teaching sessions, actively engaging with students, addressing their inquiries, and assessing their work while providing valuable feedback. I also collaborate closely with fellow teachers and IQAs to enhance the assessment process, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching educational experience.

What's the standout highlight of your experience working at CPBA?

Witnessing students' growth, progress, and achievements. Seeing a student grasp a challenging concept or excel in their studies can be incredibly gratifying. Making a positive impact on the lives of the students, instilling confidence, and providing valuable life skills. I have experienced personal growth through my profession as a teacher, developed patience, empathy, adaptability, and other valuable life skills

What skills do you bring to the table in your job?

From my teaching experience, I bring a valuable skill set to the table. Firstly, I offer Subject Matter Expertise, particularly in the hairdressing industry, enabling me to effectively convey knowledge to students. My Communication Skills are strong, allowing me to explain concepts clearly, adapt my communication style to diverse learners, and modify teaching approaches based on feedback. I excel in Classroom Management, maintaining an organized and conducive learning environment. Patience is a cornerstone of my approach, essential for accommodating varying learning paces and addressing behavioral challenges. Furthermore, I exhibit empathy and compassion, connecting with students on both academic and personal levels. Problem-solving is a key strength, addressing individual learning needs and maintaining classroom order. I'm adept at designing assessments, grading assignments, and offering constructive feedback to track and improve student progress. Lastly, my collaboration skills and Cultural Sensitivity create an inclusive learning environment that values diversity.

When you're not working, what activities or hobbies do you enjoy most?

I love traveling, exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, especially seaside. Also, listening to music, watching movies, tv shows and documentaries is a form of entertainment and relaxation for me.
